About a third of UK dentists currently support Denplan Care with over 1 million registered patients. The whole concept of Denplan is based on the prevention of dental disease rather than repair. With Denplan Care, patients pay a fixed monthly amount (normally in the region of £12 -£21) which allows them to budget for regular, affordable preventive care, without the fear of costly and unexpected bills. Benefits for patients All routine dental care, including check-ups, fillings, x-rays and preventive care is covered by Denplan. For work involving laboratories (crowns and bridges) the Denplan patient only pays the laboratory costs (normally about one third of the full private cost). Preventive care, including help with avoiding gum disease and tooth decay, scaling and polishing, fluoridation, dietary and other preventive advice are covered by Denplan.
